GENERAL ISSUES

Behind concrete, our artificial turf is the lowest maintenance hard or landscape product you can install within your yard. General upkeep for artificial turf includes brooming, blowing or raking, and occasional rinsing and replenishment of the infill sand. General maintenance will not harm these products.

Heavy foot or pet traffic can create a matted blade effect. From time to time, you will want to broom or rake the turf to make certain that the blades stand tall. When brooming or raking becomes ineffective this may be an optimal time to consider replenishment of the infill sand. A leaf blower can be utilized to blow off any leaves or dust and garden hose to rinse off any stubborn debris. During hot summer months, you may want to use a garden hose to cool the turf. Unlike natural grass, artificial turf does not retain moisture and will feel hot to the touch in extreme heat.

PET ODOR

Cleaning up after your pets is easy with our artificial turf, simply scoop up any solids and then rinse with water. If the deodorizer infill applied during the original installation appears to be losing its durability, a biodegradable, smell inhibiting disinfectant can be applied. Products like these are readily found at local pet supply or hardware stores. If the odor persists, please contact us about adding additional deodorizer in-fill to your project. Pet odor will be determined by the number and size of your pets, square footage of your project, and whether this is their primary relief area if they are walked consistently. Weed fabric is not installed on projects where pet deodorizer is requested as the fabric will eventually saturate and overwhelm the deodorizer in-fill sand (See WEEDS tab for additional information).

WEEDS

In addition to the base materials we install, our artificial turf is a weed barrier and deterrent. Our artificial turf is far more resistant to weed growth than sod or soil. All projects, outside of pet jobs (see PET ODOR), have a 15-year, commercial-grade weed fabric installed below the base material installation. However, this weed fabric can not be tucked under-slab overpour or wall footings so the transition between our artificial turf and adjacent surfaces remains the most susceptible to weed growth. Regular application of a weed deterrent product and the limited exposure to water at these transitions will assure your project maintains that initial installation esthetic. Surface weeds are typically generated from an outside influence. A neighbor not properly maintaining their yard, backing, or being adjacent to an open area, canyon or greenbelt can certainly have a negative influence on surface weeds. Weed growth is not recognized under warranty coverage and is the responsibility of the homeowner/client.

WINDOW REFLECTION

The heat from reflective surfaces including but not limited to windows can cause the quality, integrity, and esthetics of the artificial turf to be compromised and is not covered under warranty. The best way to prevent reflection from windows is to use a window film, screen, coating, or shade. All efforts will be made by the design consultant/salesman and the installation crew to identify potential reflection concerns while on site but due to the change in the location of the sun relative to the time of year eTurf Pro can not cover window reflection or burns under it warranty umbrella. Installation crews, when available, will leave the homeowner/client with a small remnant piece (less than 25 SF). In the instance that a burn occurs, removal of the affected area can be removed and patched once the reflection source is identified and rectified.

FIVE YEAR LABOR WARRANTY

E-TURF PRO warrants the installation of our artificial turf for five (5) years labor and sixteen (16) years manufacturing from the date of the artificial turf installation. E-TURF PRO is not responsible for any “settling” that may occur as a result of work done by others. Examples of this are trenching, drain work, tree removal, etc… done prior to the Contractor’s involvement. The contractor is also not responsible for damage due to excessive heat, including the effect of the sun’s energy magnified by glass or reflective surfaces.

This warranty does not certify against the following:
(1) damage from accidents, force majeure, abuse and neglect from other than normal and ordinary use of this product;
(2) damage resulting from failure to maintain the product in accordance with the maintenance instructions provided to the buyer;
(3) vandalism, fire, floods or other acts of nature;
(4) normal matting, the effect of the sun’s energy when magnified by glass or reflective surfaces, settling, drainage and all other issues related to the subbase that may occur from work completed by others prior to the job start;
(5) damage caused by other parties or contractors after the installation of the turf or putting green is complete;
or (6) damage resulting from repair, or attempted repair, by anyone other than a E-TURF PRO installer.

E-TURF PRO INSTALLATION WARRANTY

The contractor warrants the installation for a period of (5) years labor and sixteen (16) manufacturing. The contractor is not responsible for any “settling” that may occur as a result of work done by others. Examples of this are trenching, drain work, tree removal, etc… done prior to the Contractor’s involvement. The contractor is also not responsible for damage due to excessive heat, including the effect of the sun’s energy magnified by glass or reflective surfaces.

Response for Warranty Repairs: E-TURF PRO agrees to perform all repairs required by this Warranty within a reasonable time after receiving prompt written notice from the Owner within 21 days from the notice or within such other time frame as the Owner and E-TURF PRO mutually agree. If E-TURF PRO makes a repair at the Owner’s request and said the response is not covered by the Warranty, eTurf Pro may charge the Owner standard repair charges.

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY

E-TURF PRO warrants our artificial turf for limited sixteen (16) years and three (5) year labor warranty from the date of artificial turf installation when it is installed and maintained as recommended by the turf manufacturer. If any area or portion of the turf substantially changes, as distinguished from a change in texture within fifteen years after its initial installation, E-TURF PRO will have all such areas or portions replaced, excluding installation costs. E-TURF PRO also warrants that at the time of the initial turf installation, the artificial turf will be free of manufacturing defects. Slight color changes will occur over the lifetime of this turf and are not considered an issue or basis for a claim. All labor costs involved with the removal of the affected turf and reinstallation of the replacement will be the responsibility of the purchaser.

Subject to the following limitations:
General provision of this limited warranty applies to the wear of the turf with regard to ultraviolet degradation, and do not apply to damage incurred during installation, improper underlay, pile crushing, willful or negligent abuses, or damage by machinery or equipment, nor does it apply when the turf is not installed by a professional installer.
The expressed limited warranty excludes all implied warranties and said manufacturer shall in no the event be liable for a breach of the warranty in any amount exceeding the invoice price of the turf.

Limitations on Coverage:
This warranty does not cover:

(1) Damage from accidents, vandalism, abuse, and neglect.
(2) Acts of Nature (including earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, and other natural disasters).
(3) Use of chemicals and improper cleaning methods.
(4) Failure to properly maintain, protect, and/or repair the turf.
(5) Damage that occurs during the shipping/transportation process. All shipping claims must be filed against the freight company in question.
(6) Damage caused by reflection (melting) or other flammable materials.
(7) Synthetic turf is subject to normal wear and tear. Normal wear and tear are not manufacturing defects and therefore are not covered by this warranty.
(8) Warranty to the original purchaser only, non-transferable.

Limitations on Liability:
Purchaser must promptly inspect all products upon delivery. Anything herein to the contrary notwithstanding, to the extent that any defects, shortages, or non-conformities in the products are discoverable by the inspection upon delivery of the products, all obligation of E-TURF PRO to the purchaser with respect to such defects, shortages, and non-conformities shall be deemed satisfied and all products shall be deemed to be free of such defects, shortages, and non-conformities, unless Purchaser notifies E-TURF PRO of such defects, shortages, or non-conformities in writing within 30 days after the date of delivery.

Assignment:
Purchaser may not transfer, convey, or otherwise, assign all or any of its rights under this warranty without the prior written consent of E-TURF PRO. Any such transfer or the assignment without prior written consent shall be null and void and of no force or effect.
